awesome long weekend in uk. :)))

went to london, cambridge and brighton over the past 4 days. i enjoyed myself very much. was very lucky to have been able to crash J's place. where i got to make 5 other new friends! :D very cool group of people. nice and warm personality. sadly i wasn't able spend more time with them and didn't managed to hang out with them. am really glad they liked the pastry i brought for them! (:

on the 1/11, i had latte near where i was staying. then i met up with T. together we went to his friend's place so he could put down his stuff. then we went to grab fish and chips for lunch so i could satisfy that craving of mine. but the wait was horribly long, plus the bus ride to the place was LONGGGG too. we just kept seeing the people that came after us getting served and we waited in hunger. thankfully the f&c was good. (: so in the end, our plan to do shopping failed. though i still checked out lilywhites and grabbed a ski jacket and ski gloves. then i met up with Y and her dad who was in town to visit her and her bro. we had tea. the place was decent. nice place for chatting. haha. was glad to met her! after that i met up with P that night! (: we went from jap ramen to korean restaurant to another korean restaurant before we finally got to seat. so the search for a dinner place was rather time consuming. :/ but thankfully the bibimbap that i had was good! and we had soup and spicy rice cakes as starters too. it was nice being able to like share my crisis with him. and hearing his perspectives. an amazing affinity we have. so thankful. (: that night, i returned to j's place and they had friends over. at first i just stayed within the rm and was just chatting w people on my phone. but after that because they were having the saint-honere that i brought for them, they asked me to join them too! we ended up talking till lateeeeee. haha got me worried that i wouldn't have made it in time for the train to cambridge the following morning. but no regrets cause the time spent was so enjoyable.

while at cambridge(2/11), am glad to have met up with SH and J. at the same time making 3 new friends. (: cambridge was a comforting place. with nice architecture and manageable crowd. haha. the only bad memory of the day was the super huge lunch that i had, causing me to feel bloated till 8-9hrs later. that i didn't managed to enjoy a good dinner (kind of skipped it). and replaced it with just a soup and chips from pret. i got to enjoy JX's accompaniment that night, hanging around oxford st plus time at pret. her listening to my re-narration of crisis. [think titans and spartans will forever have a very special spot in me. same goes to the handful of 34th seniors.]

as for brighton (3/11), comparing to the beach i got to see at south of france i guess the one south of france is still prettier. although brighton has its own nice charms too. with the shops by the shore. though it was really windy. i realised i wasted my chance to shout all i want. but then it was cold and there WERE people. because silly me and T bought the bus tickets before we realise that it wasn't that necessary we made it a point to head further out of the city centre and went to this really quiet town. which has a castle that we didn't bother to pay for entrance cause it didn't look impressive. but we ventured along this path next to the castle and found even nicer sights! (: haha. after that we did some pointless random walking. before catching the bus to head back to the city centre and do our last mins shopping. after that we went for jap dinner. which was satisfying. (: though the road to the restaurant was horribly epic. because i bought a lot from this cheap uk brand that uses paper bags. and we walked in the rain from the london train station to the restaurant. soooo, the bag's handle first snapped from the weight. then there was a hole that appeared after that. soooo. my clothes fell out. and when we got to the shop, i spent like a good 10 mins at least trying to find a place for all the clothing in my backpack cum random plastic bags. only after that did i sit down and figure out what i want to eat.

because of the amount of shopping i did in uk, i spent 1-2 hrs that night finding space to stuff my clothes into the cabin sized luggage i brought. eventually still placing some in a reusable bag and my backpack. haha. oh and before i started packing i enjoyed having some cupcakes with J and housemates that they got from brick lane that afternoon. (: nice to see the way they interact.

that was about it! my short lived but very awesome time at the uk! i prob won't be returning in the next 3 months. but sure looking forward to when i'll be back there! (:
