great macaroons from the famous laduree! i ate a raspberry one before i got back so there is only shots of the remaining 3. :D

brown: chocolate
green: pistachio
yellowish-brown: salted caramel

they ARE good. the whole texture and bite. haha. the salted caramel one is too sweet to my liking though. the other 3 were good. (:

18th. exploring the 6th

on my way to sadaharu aoki.

covering the seat to prevent it from being frozen by the snow... haha

finally...

TADA! i couldn't take photos in the shop. i got a lemon tart and sesame macaroon from here. (:

took this just for fun. haha didn't buy anything. :D

something epic happened before i made my purchase. i realised that my phone was gone when i was in the shop, and i was like shit didn't i stuff it in the pocket? then i saw it ON THE ROAD. and there was a car just behind it. the light was still red. then i rush to it. put my hand in front of the car and grabbed it.
when i returned to the shop, the lady was just SHOCKED. HAHA.

as you can see, they only sell chocolates. i bought a small box of truffles (which are a lot better than royce) and this liquor chocolate that david lebovitz recommend. the liquor choc is REALLY strong though. so i didn't appreciate it. haha.

i left my box of truffles in the paris apartment though. :( i wanted to bring to london and share with friends. SIGH. sorry...

this really cute kids furniture shop next to the chocolate shop abovee.

before i got here i went by eric kayser too. the french partner of maison kayser that we see in singapore. i bought 3 items, 1 pain au cereals, 1 chocolate financier and 1 chocolate cookie.

from the shop above i bought a chocolate amer macaroon, and its really good too. their chocolatey taste is (Y).

it was really cold... and i really wanted to grab a cup of hot chocolate. but obviously failed. SO SAD. ):

before i call it a day, i checked out this pastry shop within my neighbourhood too. (:
i bought a croissant and galette des rois.

sorry this is slated. :/

see the snow? (:

it was COLD.

this is the pain au cereal. there's a lot of sesame which makes it really fragrant when eating.

how they look when sliced.

the chocolate financier didn't fail its rep too. its really good. though kind of sweet. maybe it have with coffee its fantastic. haha.

i gobbled up the croissant before this haha. it was good. despite it being cold already.

oh ya this is from the shop around my neighbourhood. the one i last took among the photos above.

the filling you see at the bottom, that's sweet potato. this was nice too. (:
apparently you can only see it around this time of the year in paris.

isn't the box nice? :D

sorry that i wasn't able to make the tart look more appetising!
it was REALLY REALLY GOOD THOUGH. if you've tried loysel's toy one and find that superb already. wait till you try this! hehe.

their sesame macaroon is good too. the sesame taste is really nice. though the macaroon itself is not as good after having tried the one from laduree and jean paul hevin. :P

this is the sight i woke up to on the 19th.

icicles...

all the white...

the train station i always go to to get out. haha.

LONDON! st pancras.

once out of holborn station. (:

that's all i have till now. i brought my cam out with me last night but didn't find anything worth snapping. :P

OKAY. i need to get out before the markets close. or else there won't be nice photos to share! (:
