27th

i took A LOT of photos as i've promised to be a more hardworking tourist.

here they are! i need to get out on the streets again to deliver more photos! haha. can let me know what you guys think. and any way i can improve. i know it'll be a lot better if i have a tripod. but... THE WEIGHT... haha

wet day...

notre dame.

i was going to take an 'upclose' of notre dame. but the rain was getting heavier and i didn't want to get my cam more wet. i thought i'll return later the day to take photo but i didn't. :P

from the side...

side of notre dame building.

i went to berthillon! this was pretty good. but too big a serving for me to finish myself. towards the end it didn't taste as fantastic anymore. haha. the ice cream is salted caramel flavour! and that's a tarte tatin! like caramelised apple cake.

hot chocolate...

of all the hot chocolate i've had, this i like theirs the most! (:
it really depends on what kind you like. their version, the chocolate is silky and aromatic, not the thick kind. maybe it could have been seen as not too high in cocoa content, hence it wasn't too bitter and i didn't need to add any sugar.

walk.

walk.

walk.

i was told by this local girl few years younger, looked like she was still schooling, i asked when i got on the street in the morning for directions that this is a nice park.

and i've definitely very glad that the weather turned better when i got here. it is very nice with the white clouds and blue sky. (instead of possible grey setting)

staring into the sky. :D

most park have trees planted in neat order. with benches placed below/between. and these parks are old. amazing planning i think. haha.

the first street artist i came across. i didn't see the actual person though. haha. but the pieces were pretty nice. if my impression wasn't wrong, paris is supposed to have a lot of such artist right? but i didn't actually came across any besides this.

nice building i saw while moving towards the next pastry shop...

mille feuille! vanilla flavour.

lemon-lime tart!

2nd hot chocolate of the day. this is one that is thick, of higher cocoa content and i saw the need to add sugar. not sure was it because i was getting uncomfortable with all the sweet stuff i've had before this. but i had a hard time drinking this. :/

the above 3 items were from jacques genin.

this is part of the louvre.

on the other side of the road.

i just realised the colouring of this is off. :/

can you see it was like 6 on the dot when i was taking. :D

the one with lighting

the one without. haha.

there was wrong setting here which i didn't realised. hence for the later few pics they look brighter than they should i think.

scamming took place just before this.

from the above onwards then is the 'normal' setting again.

i got really pissed and upset last night. cause i think this girl scammed my money.
it went like this. she saw me, came up to me and just said sign this. then said that its for good cause, for the deaf... so i was like, okay fine i can do that. while i was filling things up, she then fill me in on needing to DONATE. which was roll eyes. so okay i quickly scanned the amount others gave. i saw a 2. so fine. i was taking out coins for 2.
THEN she said minimum is 5, which was written on the UNDER side of HER board. so i was like thinking you think i'm idiot or what? and she kept trying to get me to give the notes which were in a separate compartment. i said, never mind, give me back my money, cancel my name. then she was like acting blur. i tried again. then she decided to just accept the 2 and my day turned sour. she was with this 2 other older kids, and one almost reached for my iphone. no idea if what i sensed was real or she was just worried that it was coming out of the pocket. (i placed it half way in)

but i'm just grossed out by the behaviour. sigh. :/

after that i went back to the hotel where i was staying the night before to collect my luggage.

took this at the bus stop after collecting my luggage, and waiting for the bus.
