went for the movie screening by national museum on the 16th since i need not work.
managed to get june to go with me. so glad i had someone to share this treasure with. (:
the film was really well made and i'm really glad that the group of filmmakers had went through the hard work to get those precious scenes captured. i'm really lucky to find most familiar to me. though i'm really sad at the same time that they are vanishing (if not extinct) already.
the cinema was even nicely decorated with objects from the past! (:
never really used the items seen in the above 3 photos actually.
i used to sit such ride for 40cents.
because the film was so well made and i really want to get a hold of these sights, i bought the DVD of old places and old romances. as a form of support for the filmmakers too of course. and so that i'll be able to share with other next time! (:
if you see anywhere screening old places/ old romances, i seriously recommend that you go check it out. it is really worth that time for you to spend and watch it.
i can't put to words why i had felt such, but throughout the film, with every change of scene, i just felt really emotional. it was as if they were tugging at my heartstrings.
or maybe it was the denial in me, the part the rejects growing up, that will responding to the scenes shown in the film...
