School's been pretty alright. Coming to an end of the lessons in the classroom. Means the dreadful part of early mornings are gonna start soon. >< cause the next 2 months will be practical classes. And they start at 8/9am. Not funnnnnn
Other than school, have been up to something "fun" or adventurous each weekend!
Went to Rouen (very expensive town, cause of the audio guides that were borrowed from the tourist office. As I gave my resident card in exchange and those lazy fellows weren't working on Sunday. I had to spend additional money for a return trip on Monday just to get my card back),
Bordeaux (met up with uncle and his family, his food recommendations weren't that great haha but no complains since the meals were paid by him, we even played Frisbee along Arcachon. Simply a fatmedie trip, lol),
Toulouse (A380 Tour & an aerospace museum),
Dijon (caught a brilliant sunset),
London (plenty of good food, few meet ups and being in peace),
Quimper (enjoyed quite a decent meal, walked a lot and encountered crappy weather upon arriving),
Lorient (more walking, visited a retired submarine for the first time, a nautical museum and thankful for the skyline when leaving),
Lille (a small but considerably cosmopolitan town),
Lens (went only for the Louvre museum of the town, fantastic architecture and exhibition!).
Nancy (rushed to the train stn to make it there. Had an absolutely expensive meal, entrees and mains were decent but I screwed up the dessert choices. Haha. The city has a few UNESCO labelled squares but 1 of them is really enchanting! Super pretty.)
Metz (much less to offer in comparison to Nancy. But it wasn't too bad.)
Amboise (the town where da Vinci lived at for the last 3 years of his life. Had an enriching time and was fascinated by the things he came up with as most of them still serve modern people will little changes made to his designs.)
Angers (we almost had to sleep on the streets cause we thought the last train that we wanted to catch was cancelled! Causing us to miss our chances to see all the castles in the town. But at the end we enjoyed free taxi ride from the stop nearest tours because the train decided not to stop there. Smooth and comfortable.)
Tours (the Xmas market has the most awesome roasted chestnuts! Haha other than that the town has plenty of water features, a sign of its the Italian influence ordered by a few French kings in the past.)
And that's the end of our French city tours in 2015! Likely to be continued in 2016! (:
